Elemental abundance analyses with DAO spectrograms - XVI. The normal F main-sequence stars sigmaBootis, thetaCygni and iotaPiscum, and the AM stars 15Vulpeculae and 32Aquarii
Abstract
Elemental abundances of the sharp-lined F2 V star sigmaBoo are derived consistent with other studies of this series of papers. Previous studies of the F4 V star thetaCyg and the F7 V star iotaPsc and of the Am stars 15Vul and 32Aqr are revised and extended. The normal stars have microturbulences between 1.2 and 1.6 km s^-1, while the Am stars have values between 4.0 and 4.5 km s^-1. Most derived abundances for thetaCyg are close to solar as are those for iotaPsc, except for the rare earth elements which are enhanced. sigmaBoo, however, is a marginally metal-poor star. The abundances of 15Vul indicate it is a marginal Am star while those of 32Aqr exhibit the Am phenomenon to a greater extent.
