Elemental abundance analyses with DAO spectrograms - VIII. The normal F main sequence stars theta Cygni and IOTA Piscium.
Abstract
Elemental abundance analyses of the normal F dwarfs Theta Cygni and Iota Piscium are performed and found to be consistent with previous studies. The derived microturbulences of 1.5 and 1.0 km/s are slightly smaller than found by other recent investigations. The elemental abundances derived using fine analysis techniques are for the most part close to solar. The effects of small changes in the adopted effective temperatures and surface gravities are also presented.
