Accretion in Cataclysmic Binaries - Part Two - Observational Data
Abstract
Average accretion rates and disk radii are estimated for a number of cataclysmic binaries. Outer parts of disks in novae and nova-like objects are sufficiently hot to avoid accretion instability; those in dwarf novae would be too cool under stationary accretion conditions and must be unstable against accumulation of the material. Disks in Z Cam systems are borderline cases.
