Effect of reinforcement particles and multipass of friction stir processing on microstructure and mechanical properties of aluminium alloy
Abstract
Refined grain structure and dispersed micro size SiC particles were observed. Maximum microhardness was observed as 134 HV, at three FSP passes. On the increment of FSP passes, the agglomeration of reinforcement was decreased. Microhardness of the AMMCs was increased by 41.79%.
