GRB 241016B: Fermi GBM Final Localization
Abstract
"At 11:12:40.13 UT on 16 October 2024, the Fermi Gamma-ray Burst Monitor (GBM) triggered and located GRB 241016B (trigger 750769965/241016467). The on-ground calculated location, using the Fermi GBM trigger data, is RA = 8.8, Dec = 3.1 (J2000 degrees, equivalent to J2000 00h 35m, +03d 08'), with a statistical uncertainty of 21 degrees. The angle from the Fermi LAT boresight is 86 degrees. The skymap can be found here: https://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/FTP/fermi/data/gbm/triggers/2024/bn241016467/quicklook/glg_skymap_all_bn241016467.png The HEALPix FITS file, including the estimated localization systematic, can be found here: https://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/FTP/fermi/data/gbm/triggers/2024/bn241016467/quicklook/glg_healpix_all_bn241016467.fit The GBM light curve can be found here: https://heasarc.gsfc.nasa.gov/FTP/fermi/data/gbm/triggers/2024/bn241016467/quicklook/glg_lc_medres34_bn241016467.gif"
