An innovative damping random walk algorithm with compulsive evolution for the synthesis of heat exchanger networks
Abstract
An innovative damping RWCE method is presented for HEN synthesis. Damping strategy can delay optimal structure matches to facilitate exploration. The damping RWCE prevents getting stuck in local optima and aids in slowing down convergence. Damping strategy adjusts an algorithm's acceptance criteria and can be applied in any algorithm.
