Application of the method of lines for solving the vorticity equation in two-dimensional hydrodynamic problems
Abstract
To solve a parabolic equation in Cartesian coordinates, it is proposed to apply the differential-difference method, when the coefficients of terms with second derivatives have a constant value. This method of lines the stage of matching the results of the run-through process in different directions and thus helps to reduce machine time while ensuring the calculation accuracy to the machine rounding frame.
