Design and implement a sustainable wireless smart home based on iot

Nowadays, the IoT (Internet of Things) plays a crucial role in many requirements of daily life, where healthcare, safety, security, and energy management are considered some of the most significant applications that rely on IoT in their operation. One of these requirements is to perform a smart home that can be controlled by a smartphone, to operate and switch off the electrical or electronic devices and sensors. This can be executed depending on the IoT capabilities to simulate and operate a smart home. This paper focused on practical home automation that involves several devices like a webcam, humidifier, ceiling fan, air conditioner, etc. By using some sensors and devices, the designed smart home is controlled and monitored. The findings revealed that smart devices and sensors can be easily added to the home gateway; additionally, this system will make real-life easier and more comfortable.
