Electrocatalytic performance of green synthesized nitrogen-doped carbon dots toward clean energy H2 generation
Abstract
Green synthesized carbon dots were prepared using C. Medica fruit. Nitrogen was doped and n-CDs were synthesized at different conditions. Hetero-atom doping and temperature enhance the active sites for electrocatalysis. ECSA of 1.7 cm2 traps numerous electrons which favours H2 production. Time-constant studies show that n-CDs increase electron transfer and promote HER.
