VizieR Online Data Catalog: MgII absorbers high-resolution QSOs spectra. I. (Churchill+, 2020)
Abstract
We have analyzed 249 high-resolution, high signal-to-noise High Resolution Echelle Spectrometer (HIRES) and Ultraviolet and Visual Echelle Spectrograph (UVES) quasar spectra obtained from the Keck and Very Large Telescope (VLT) observatories, respectively. The wavelength coverage of the spectra ranges from approximately 3000-10000Å, though there is variable coverage in this range from spectrum to spectrum. The resolving power of both instruments is R=45000, or ~6.6km/s, and the spectra have three pixels per resolution element. The resolution is approximately constant in velocity as a function of observed wavelength. The signal-to-noise ratios are typically 25-80.
