Gone with Gondwana: Amphipod diversification in freshwaters followed the breakup of the supercontinent
Abstract
Divergence estimates for freshwater hyaloids have the group arise in the Mesozoic. Results suggest a much later invasion of freshwater than previously thought. Amphipods may serve as useful models for testing biogeographic hypotheses.
