Self-Consistent Determination of Impact Timescales by Growth and Diffusion Kinetics of Olivine and Pyroxene Polymorphs in 3 Highly Shocked L Chondrites
Abstract
Microstructures and chemical partitions of high pressure polymorphs are characterized by nanoSIMS and STEM in 3 shocked L chondrites. Insights on the transformation mechanisms and associated elemental diffusion provide new shock timescales.
