Unexpected Thermal Properties of the Near-Earth Object (499998) 2011 PT
Abstract
2011 PT is a near-Earth asteroid of about 40 meters that rotates in only 11 minutes. Unexpectedly, we found that the measured Yarkovsky drift can be achieved only if the thermal inertia is low, suggesting the presence of regolith on its surface.
