NEREID: Converging in the Spaces Between

The Network for Earth-space Research Education and Innovation with Data (NEREID) is an initiative to establish an interdisciplinary community centered around earth and space science data as well as research and education. NEREID is intentionally designed to bridge domains, connect professionals, and facilitate convergence. In November 2019, a two-day kickoff meeting with twenty-eight expert stakeholders was held at the Green Bank Observatory in Green Bank, West Virginia. This meeting produced a set of strategies for facilitating convergence through data, and the NEREID group is continuing to meet regularly to further establish goals and priorities for this growing network.
