VizieR Online Data Catalog: A redshift catalog of the galaxy cluster A2029 (Sohn+, 2019)
Abstract
The galaxy catalog for the A2029 field is based mainly on the Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) DR12 (Alam+, 2015, V/147). We supplement the A2029 galaxy catalog with the SDSS DR7 galaxy catalog for an area in the northeastern part of A2029 of ~52arcmin2 where the SDSS DR12 photometry is missing.
We conducted a deep redshift survey of A2029 using Multiple Mirror Telescope (MMT)/Hectospec). The resulting spectra have 6.2Å spectral resolution and cover 3800-9100Å. The typical exposure time for each field is 1hr. Sohn+ (2017, J/ApJS/229/20) reported 982 redshifts of A2029 members. Here we extend the redshift survey by including fainter objects. In total, there are 4376 redshifts for galaxies in the field, 321 of them have both SDSS and MMT spectra. In that case, we use the redshift from the MMT. We identify 97 stars in the A2029 field from our spectroscopic survey. These objects are either stars with SDSS spectroscopic redshifts or Hectospec targets that were classified as galaxies based on the SDSS algorithm. (2 data files).- Publication:
