Collapse Pits and Lava Tubes as Low-Latitude Havens for Long Duration Lunar Surface Missions and Habitation, a Thermal Perspective from the Diviner Lunar Radiometer Experiment
Abstract
With stable temperatures of 290 K throughout the day, lunar collapse pits and lava tubes would provide a favorable thermal environment for long term missions and habitation of the Moon.
