Interhemispheric Differences in CO2 Supersaturation and CO2 Gas Depletion in Mars' Polar Winter Atmosphere from Mars Climate Sounder Observations
Abstract
MCS data reveal that atmospheric temperatures in the south polar winter repeatedly drop below the CO2 frost point, in contrast to the north polar winter. These differences are evaluated with respect to CO2 supersaturation and CO2 gas depletion.
