Nitrogen removal from landfill leachate by single-stage anammox and partial-nitritation process: effects of microaerobic condition on performance and microbial activities
Abstract
Effect of microaerobic condition on SNAP process was explored and reported. SNAP was successfully implemented under oxygen-limited condition. 0.2 mg/L DO promoted concurrent NH4+(99.5%), TN(94.3%), and COD removal (31.1%). Ca. Kuenenia abundance and denitrification process was inhibited at DO of 0.6 mg/L AOB, HDB, AmxB and COD degraders coexisted and promoted denitrification.
