Grating multiplexing structure based high-resolution infrared spectrometer
Abstract
We propose a grating multiplexing structure used to get high resolution in infrared spectrometer designing with compact volume. In this structure, the dispersed light is repeatedly reflected to the same grating four times. By this method, the resolution of the spectrometer is improved greatly, while its volume is enlarged a little. The relevant theoretical formulas are strictly derived, and a prototype design used in infrared fiber communication is conducted, the resolution of which can reaches 30 pm over 400 nm wavelength range.
