Astrosismología de estrellas de neutrones aisladas: Análisis del modo fundamental
Abstract
The direct detection of gravitational radiation events, such as GW170817, has opened new horizons in the astrophysics of neutron stars, offering opportunities with great potential to determine restrictions on the equation of state of the dense matter. In this work, we study the fundamental mode $f$ of non-radial oscillations of non-rotating compact stars in General Relativity as a source of gravitational radiation, from the linearized perturbations theory. These oscillations are particularly interesting since they are the ones that are possibly the most likely to be detected by the third generation of gravitational wave detectors.
