Wavelength effect of ns-pulsed radiation on the reduction of graphene oxide
Abstract
This report studies the laser-assisted reduction process of GO films using four different wavelengths, 1064, 532, 355, and 266 nm. Ultra-violet radiation removes oxygenated groups more efficiently while infra-red radiation restores the sp2 structure of grapheme. The C/O ratio is higher than 100 by using both UV and IR radiation in the reduction process. Laser-induced periodic surface structures were observed in the reduction process with all wavelengths.
