Data Management in the Euclid Scientific Archive System
Abstract
Euclid is an ESA M2 mission and a milestone in the understanding of the geometry of the Universe. The Euclid Archive System (EAS) is a joint development between ESA and the Euclid Consortium and is led by the Science Data Centres (SDC) of the Netherlands and the ESDC (ESAC Science Data Centre). The EAS is composed by three different subsystems: Data Processing System (DPS), Distributed Storage System (DSS) and Science Archive System (SAS). We describe the architectural design of the system, implementation progress and the main challenges from the data management point of view in the building of the SAS.
