Colloidal effects on modulational instability in semiconductor plasma having strain dependent dielectric constant
Abstract
We report the effect of streaming colloids on modulational instability (MI) using a hydrodynamic model of semiconductor plasmas. Ferroelectrics (FEs) are technologically important because of their optical nonlinear properties. We find that the effective susceptibility without colloids is order of [ (χe)e f f . 3 ] ≈10-19m2V-2 and with effect of streaming colloids is order of [ (χd) e f f . 3 ] ≈10-23m2V-2 which shows effect of streaming colloids. The colloidal grains (CGs) in diffusive semiconductor plasmas found to be modifying the characteristic and alter the optical and physical properties of the material.
