Disentangling the pair and quartet condensates
Abstract
We introduce the idea of estimating the interaction between substructures in many-body systems by considering them to be independent except for the fact that they live in model spaces whose dimensionality is effectively reduced due to each other's Pauli blocking. We apply this idea to the study of isovector pairing correlations within the the quartet condensation model, based on the improved analytical relations method. We study both N =Z and N >Z nuclei, where a natural decomposition may be performed in terms of quartet and pair degrees of freedom.
