Tuning in to the radio environment of HD189733b
Abstract
In this work, we model the stellar wind of the planet-hosting star HD189733 and use this to predict how it can induce planetary radio emission. We show that the host star's wind itself is able to absorb potential emission of the planet at certain orbital phases. This means that the best epochs to conduct radio observations is when the planet is approaching and leaving primary transit.
