MAVEN Observations from Aerobraking Campaign: NGIMS comparison with navigation and ACC data to create the higher density profile of the neutral upper atmosphere
Abstract
Analysis of the MAVEN NGIMS and ACC data of the neutral atmosphere from the recent lower aerobraking campaign spanning 12 Feb 2019 through 15 April 2019. With the periapsis passing much lower than previous deep dip passes and the campaign lasting for a much longer period of time 9 weeks, the campaign provides a much more expansive analysis of the upper to mid atmosphere of Mars. This campaign also provided significant coverage over a similar local time allowing for analysis with respect to geographical features (longitude and latitude) over diurnal or seasonal effects.
