2017 Carolinas Solar Eclipse Party and Suggestions for Future Statewide Astronomy Outreach
Abstract
We report on the North Carolina effort for the Carolinas Solar Eclipse Party, which engaged a network of partners in hosting 35 eclipse viewing events that reached 92,823 people in diverse communities across the state, from the mountains to the coast, both within and outside the path of totality. We discuss suggestions for future state-wide or regional astronomy outreach efforts.
