Magnetic proximity effect in CoFe2O4 @ BiFeO3 core-shell nanoparticles
Abstract
We present the study of magnetic proximity effect in CoFe2O4-BiFeO3 core-shell nanoparticles (this is the extension of our recently published work [S. Kuila et al., J. Appl. Phys. 123, 064101 (2018)]), which results in the shifting of the magnetic ordering temperature of the samples to the higher temperature. Exchange bias effect is also observed in the samples and is found to be dependent on the thickness of the core and shell. The maximum exchange bias effect is found in the 50-50 composition where the core-shell thickness is optimum.
