New ambient pressure X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy endstation at Taiwan light source
Abstract
APXPS is capable of providing valuable surface electronic structure information for diverse materials under in-situ and in-operando conditions. Therefore, the technique has been implemented in various synchrotron radiation facilities and laboratories using in-house X-ray sources. Herein, we report on salient features and commissioning results of a new APXPS endstation installed in a bending magnet beamline at TLS of NSRRC in 2017. Both the photoemission and photoabsorption techniques carried out in the presence of ambient gas of a few mbar has been realized, providing a great impetus to the energy materials research.
