Development of a System for Real-Time Geoelectric Field Forecasts
Abstract
We report on the development of a new system for geoelectric field prediction that uses a real-time magnetometer data and empirical electromagnetic transfer functions to provide a nowcast and near-term forecast of geoelectric fields. Our ultimate goal is to provide forecasts with sufficiently long lead time to enable decision makers to take mitigating actions.
