Enhancing Data Discovery and Accessibility Through Story Map Visualization
Abstract
The Atmospheric Science Data Center (ASDC) at NASA Langley Research Center is responsible for the archive and distribution of NASA Earth Science data in the areas of radiation budget, clouds, aerosols, and tropospheric composition. The ASDC is exploring innovative approaches to benefit the research and decision-making of federal and local governments, scientific communities, and educators by enhancing data accessibility and discovery. Through the use of story maps that combine Geographic Information Systems (GIS), multimedia content, images, and a descriptive narrative, users will be empowered to readily relate and analyze data visually within their area of interest. This poster will cover how the ASDC is developing story maps to enhance data accessibility and discovery.
