Phase controlled six-wave mixing parametrical amplification to yield correlated light beams
Abstract
We investigate the realization of correlated light beams in parametrically amplified six-wave mixing (PA-SWM) process in a rubidium atomic ensemble. By applying the single external-dressing field into the parametrically amplified four-wave mixing (PA-FWM), we dressed PA-FWM as the superposition of pure PA-FWM and pure PA-SWM by Taylor expansion. Moreover, the phases of PA-FWM and PA-SWM could be adjusted, which results in a constructive or destructive interaction. Besides, the parametric gain of PA-SWM is high, from 0 to 10, and can be controlled by phases. The outcomes of this investigation can potentially contribute to the development of quantum information processing.
