Perforated all-dielectric anapole metamaterials
Abstract
In this work, we propose a novel type of perforated silicon metamaterials, exhibiting anapole mode in optics. The interplay of electric and toroidal dipole moments leads to transparency of the system at resonant frequency due to destructive interference between them. This type of metamaterials is demanding for practical nanophotonics application due to one-step simple fabrication and fascinating properties inherent to anapole mode excitation.
