Generalized biomass equations for Stone pine (Pinus pinea L.) across the Mediterranean basin
Abstract
Pinus pinea is economically important in the Mediterranean basin. Above and belowground biomass equations were developed with 283 harvested trees. Accuracy of biomass estimates improved for root and high dimension trees. Biased estimates were observed when using equations outside the geographical range. Best biomass equations for regional and national biomass inventories.
