Swarm Magnetic instruments: status and data quality
Abstract
The three Swarm spacecraft, two of which (Swarm Alpha and Swarm Charlie) flying almost side-by-side at lower altitude ( 450 km) and the third satellite (Swarm Bravo) flying in a slightly higher altitude ( 500 km), after more than four years in orbit, continue to provide high quality measurements of the Earth's magnetic field. In this presentation we will give a wide overview of the status of the Swarm magnetometry package (consisting of one Absolute Scalar Magnetometer (ASM), one Vector Field Magnetometer (VFM) and one Star Tracker (STR) on-board each spacecraft), of their data availability and detailed information of Swarm Magnetic data quality.
