Comparative study of DC electrodeposited and pulse electrodeposited InSb thin films
Abstract
InSb thin films were prepared on brass sheet substrate using DC electrodeposition and pulsed electrodeposition techniques. For comparative study, the thin films were characterized using XRD, SEM / EDAX and FTIR studies. The XRD results show that the films grown by both the techniques are polycrystalline in nature and having strong orientation along (111) plane. The SEM studies demonstrated the well-covered spherical particles surface morphology on the substrate with no cracks on the surface of the film. The EDAX studied show that stoichiometric InSb films are successfully electrodeposited using both the techniques. The energy band gap of the InSb film determined using FTIR was approximately 0.18 eV.
