CCMC Metadata upgrades
Abstract
The Community Coordinated Modeling Center (CCMC) is undergoing a major upgrade of its metadata system for their unique archive of simulation models, model runs, and outputs. The new system is based on the SPASE standard already in wide use in a variety of measured or observed data environments. The SPASE standard has been extended to include models, model simulations, and their many outputs. We will demonstrate full SPASE compliant descriptions of the models used at the CCMC and will make them available as a community tool. We will then also support descriptions of some other community models to eventually form a complete community modeling catalog. In addition, we will show progress on SPASE descriptions of simulations executed at the CCMC as well as the output from those simulations.
