AtomDB 3.1 - Atomic data and new models for X-ray spectroscopy.
Abstract
The AtomDB project collects atomic data from a wide range of sources and converts them in to useful models for a wide range of X-ray plasmas. We have released several updates to AtomDB in response to the Hitomi data, including new data for the Fe K complex. In addition, we have expanded the range of models available in AtomDB to include the Kronos charge exchange models from Mullen at al. (2016). We have combined this with the previous AtomDB charge exchange model to provide a widely applicable velocity-dependent model for X-ray and EUV charge exchange spectra. We also present the new non-Maxwellian plasma model, enabling Kappa distributions plasma to be observed and modeled with AtomDB.Tools are provided within pyAtomDB to explore and exploit these new plasma models.
