Kinematical Behaviour of ORLs and CELs in Galactic Planetary Nebulae
Abstract
For the photoionized regions is well know the existence of the Abundance Discrepancy Factor (ADF) between the abundances computed with recombination lines and collisionally excited lines. In the particular case of planetary nebulae, ADF values between 2 and 70 have been computed. Ideas of temperature fluctuations and density inhomogeneities have been proposed to explain the ADF. In this work we present a kinematical analysis of CELs and ORLs for a sample of planetary nebulae, using high-resolution spectra, in an aim to explore the nebular structure and the physical conditions of the plasma where these lines are emitted. It was found a discrepancy between the CEL’s and ORL’s kinematics, where ORL’s have lower expansion velocities than the CEL’s, in almost all cases, then the ORL’s are being emitted in zones nearer to the central star than the CEL’s. Also was found that the CEL's present a typical velocity field inside the nebulae meanwhile the ORL's don't.
