Local linear compressibility of (MnF6)2‑ clusters in Mn4+-doped BaTiF6 red phosphor
Abstract
The local linear compressibility of (MnF6)2‑ clusters in Mn4+-doped BaTiF6 red phosphor is evaluated by analysing its pressure-induced R line red-shift. The result implies that this local linear compressibility is much smaller than the linear compressibility of host BaTiF6 crystal as a whole. The causes of the difference of linear compressibility and the reasonableness of the local linear compressibility of (MnF6)2‑ clusters in BaTiF6: Mn4+ crystal are discussed.
