Carsharing's life-cycle impacts on energy use and greenhouse gas emissions
Abstract
Study presents a life-cycle assessment of carsharing's environmental impacts. New carsharing members reduce transport-related energy use and GHG emissions by 51%. Impacts of shifting travel to transit are negated by avoided private-vehicle trips.
