Gene expression profiling during seed-filling process in peanut with emphasis on oil biosynthesis networks
Abstract
Higher expression of generation of energy and metabolites was observed in peanut cv. Hanoch (high PF potential) than 53 during seed development. Expression of 584 genes related to Oil storage, FA elongation and Plastid FA synthesis shows higher expression in Hanoch than 53. Expression of oil related genes has small bias towards the B subgenome. FatA gene expression bias towards A genome in 53, is responsible for low oil content in 53 than Hanoch.
