VizieR Online Data Catalog: Solar neighborhood. XXXV. Distances to M dwarfs (Winters+, 2015)

We have developed a list of 1748 southern (δ{<=}0°) stellar systems containing M dwarf primaries.

Plate magnitudes from SuperCOSMOS are given in Table 1 for all but a few systems and are rounded to the nearest hundredth magnitude. The wavelength ranges for the B_J, R_59F, and I_IVN filters are 3950-5400Å, 5900-6900Å, and 7150-9000Å, respectively (Morgan, 1995ASPC...84..137M, p137).

We have measured Johnson-Kron-Cousins V_JR_KCI_KC photometry (the central wavelengths for the V_J(old), V_J(new), R_KC, and I_KC filters are 5438, 5475, 6425, and 8075Å, respectively. See Jao et al., 2011AJ....141..117J, for a discussion of the nearly identical V_J(old) and V_J(new) filters) for 799 of the systems presented here as a part of our astrometry/photometry program, primarily at the Cerro Tololo Inter-American Observatory (CTIO)/SMARTS 0.9m, with a few measurements from the CTIO/SMARTS 1.0m (see Jao et al., 2005AJ....129.1954J, Henry et al., 2006AJ....132.2360H for details on the astrometry; see Winters et al. 2011, cat. J/AJ/141/21, for details on the photometry). The observations were made between 1999 and 2013.
