Processing of CCD images of Near-Earth Asteroids in program shell of MIDAS/ROMAFOT
Abstract
We describe an analysis tool which was developed in order to reduce CCD images of near-Earth asteroids (NEAs). Astrometric and photometric observations of these objects have been performed at the Terskol Observatory (60-cm telescopes), as well as at the Kiev Comet Station (AZT-8). Raw CCD images were processed in MIDAS/ROMAFOT without using flat fields and this is a distinguishing feature of the technique applied. Positions of objects have been calculated using UCAC4 catalog; an accuracy of 60 mas was achieved (0.15m in case of photometric observations). In this paper, we also present results obtained with other software packages.
