In-Beam Performances of the MINOS TPC for the Spectroscopy of Very Exotic Nuclei

MINOS is a new device dedicated to the in-beam spectroscopy of very exotic nuclei in inverse kinematics by proton-induced knockout reactions. Part of the device is a Time Projection Chamber used as proton tracker. The performance measurements of the MINOS TPC and electronics conducted at the HIMAC facility provide a characterization of the TPC, with the development of a dedicated tracking algorithm. An intrinsic vertex resolution along the beam direction better than 5 mm full width at half maximum was obtained.
