Economic-environmental analysis of traffic-calming devices

Indicators are developed to objectively evaluate the viability and convenience of calming devices. These indicators are based on vehicle emissions, fuel consumption and energy use. They allow obtaining the economic expenditure because of their presence. The proposed methodology is applied to evaluate a speed bump on a secondary road in Mexico City.
