VizieR Online Data Catalog: Herschel Stripe 82 survey (HerS) first catalog (Viero+, 2014)
Abstract
Observations cover 79deg2 in the equatorial Stripe 82, sp 13° to 37° in R.A., and -2° to 2° in declination. Two sets of maps at 250, 350, and 500um were made in order to accommodate different science goals. For the first set, we used a tangent plane (TAN) projection with pixel sizes of 6, 8.33, and 12 arcsec for the 250, 350, and 500um maps, respectively. These values are typical for SPIRE maps, chosen to correspond to roughly one-third of the size of the SPIRE beams (18.1, 25.2, and 36.6 arcsec FWHM). Since the HerS field overlaps with the equatorial Stripe observed by the ACT (Atacama Cosmology Telescope), we also made maps using the nominal ACT map projection for cross-analysis of the two data sets. The HerS-ACT maps were made using a cylindrical equal-area (CEA) projection with pixel sizes of 29.7 arcsec in all three bands, corresponding to the nominal ACT pixel size. The ISO-8601 observation date is 2012-07-23 for all maps.
