Suzaku Analysis of the Ejecta-Dominated Supernova Remnant G337.2-0.7
Abstract
The supernova remnant (SNR) G337.2-0.7 is one of the known Type Ia SNRs in our Galaxy. Based on the data from a deep ∼304 ks of G337.2-0.7 observed with Suzaku, we confirm that the SNR is an ejecta-dominated and originated from Type Ia supernova (SN). We discuss the plasma properties, the nature of the SN explosion and the properties of the progenitor star, and compare the results with other Type Ia SNRs. We also report on the analysis of the 5-year gamma-ray data collected by Fermi Large Area Telescope and interpret the results.
