Direct Estimation of Hydraulic Conductivity Field for Density Driven Flow Problem
Abstract
The identification of the transmissivity field of a confined aquifer, subject to 2D unsteady flow and solute transport, can be obtained for the density-dependent flow problem when at least four data sets are available that include sufficient hydraulic head and solute concentration information. The associated inverse problem is solved in a direct manner following the differential system method, previously applied to problems without density effects. A demonstration is presented using a simplified example.
