High-Resolution Ion-Optical Analysis of Ri-Beams with the Sharaq Spectrometer
Abstract
The high-resolution SHARAQ spectrometer has been constructed at the RI Beam Factory to facilitate missing mass spectroscopy with RI-beam induced reactions. Cathode read-out drift chambers developed under GANIL-CNS collaboration were installed at the SHARAQ focal plane and were successfully applied to tracking of Z = 1-7 ions. We studied ion-optical properties of the SHARAQ spectrometer and the beam-line and accomplished simultaneous fulfillment of lateral and angular dispersion-matching conditions for a secondary 10C beam. A series of experiments to investigate IVMRs were performed with the SHARAQ spectrometer in 2009-2010.
